WENDY MCBRIDE

Picture
LIGHT TRAP | Pastel | 60 x 60cm
Wendy McBride Following a BA Hons in English, Philosophy and Art, painting began to take precedence. Nature in its untamed state is central to her practice. She works both inside and out, the hope being to catch the quality of light, the felt spirit of a certain place as it first struck her.
Each year McBride is invited to spend a week's residency on the Isles of Scilly. She is a member of the 21 Group, an Academician of the South West Academy of Arts, and an Associate of Penwith Society of Artists. Her work can be seen in White Space Art, Totnes and Salcombe; Artmill, Plymouth; Byard Art, Cambridge; and Gallery Tresco, Tresco Estate.
