PATRICK HAUGHTON was born in Devon; studied at Exeter and The West of England College of Art (Bristol) in the 1960s and has lived in Cornwall for many years.
Patrick seeks to share his perception of the world we inhabit through the impact of the physical and social activity of humanity upon it, today and in the past. His works evolve in the process of making: of constructing, assembling, drawing and painting, using a variety of graphic media on paper, canvas and board. In some cases he integrates fragments of found objects and documents with the graphic media, introducing an element of physical reality into the imagery. He is an Academician of the South West Academy, a Member of the National Acrylic Painters Association, and an Associate of The Penwith Society of Arts. His work is included in public and private collections in the UK, Europe and USA https://www.axisweb.org/p/patrickhaughton/ |
