Picture
ON THE JANUARY SUN | Oil on Board | 12 x 8 inches
ADRIAN EDWARDS is an artist draughtsman based in Cornwall, working mainly with the landscape. He combines his regard for the rural/urban space with the physical, exploring the light, topography and aesthetic of the land and its place in the canon of art history. Dealing with the physical reality of producing stuff with the immediacy and directness of the drawing tool in order to capture the spontaneity and energy of each day; trying to make things that attempt the beautiful. He has a BA in Fine Art, a PGCE and an MA in the History of Modern Art & Design. He exhibits within the United Kingdom and the provinces of Canada, including Pavia Gallery, Nova Scotia, the Royal West of England Academy, the Royal Cornwall Museum and Open Studios. His works are owned in Vancouver, Nova Scotia and the United Kingdom. He designed the MIllenium Cross, Newquay.
